Since his admission to the bar in 1967 in both Texas and Arkansas, Winford Dunn has been a steadfast advocate in courtrooms across state lines. His illustrious career boasts an impressive array of jury trials conducted in the state courts of Arkansas and Texas, as well as appearances in the U.S. District Courts in the Eastern District of Texas and both the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. Furthermore, he has presented cases before the 5th and 8th Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals. With litigation, including jury trials, comprising 85% of his practice, Mr. Dunn's expertise is unparalleled in the field.
Hailing from De Kalb, Texas, and a distinguished graduate of the University of Texas Law School in 1967, Mr. Dunn takes immense pride in contributing to the enduring legacy of service at Morgan, Cook and Beck, LLP, particularly within the Texarkana community. His commitment to excellence is further evidenced by his memberships in respected organizations such as the Texas and Arkansas Bar Foundations, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association.
Mr. Dunn's leadership extends beyond the courtroom, having served as President of the East Texas Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and as a National Director of ABOTA since 1997. Additionally, he dedicated six years to the Arkansas Bar Examiner and has actively participated in Continuing Legal Education seminars, including the Master in Trial Program of ABOTA, held in the United States, Latvia, South Korea, and Japan.
Recognized for his exceptional legal acumen, Mr. Dunn has been selected multiple times as a Super Lawyer in Texas and the Mid South. His commitment to community service is evident through his membership and past officer roles in the Rotary Club, as well as his involvement with the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce.
